Frank Berardi, owner of Mill Contracting, runs a great operation. My wife and I recently purchase a home that needed a good face lift…a lot of demo work, interior paint job, new wood trim, full bathroom, powder room, electrical work, refinishing existing and laying new wood floors, etc. Once we began Frank was always readily available to talk which makes him a rarity among contractors. His crew stayed on schedule, kept our home clean between workdays, and made great suggestions like converting a closet into a built-in book case. Thank you again Frank for a great job!

I am taking the time to write this letter because I couldn’t be more pleased with my contractors work. Frank Berardi ran his crew with professional guidance every step of the way. After having my house flooded and the floors gutted in my kitchen and basement, and all walls down to the studs, I thought it would take forever to get my house back to normal. I’m 71, and have had many contractors over the years. Let’s just say, in my lifetime this is my second letter.

I’m used to sloppy workmanship, little attention to detail, jobs taking much longer than expected, and up charges at the end. This guy had EVERY MAN BUSY all day long! When they made a mess, they cleaned it up. Frank took pride in his work, and his fellow employees work as well, checking to make sure they were running like a well oiled machine. The speed and efficiency of this job is one for the record books! And there was no changing the price at the end of the job.

To see a man in this day in age, conducting his workers like an orchestra was incredible. There was a lot of workers in my home, all of them were kind and courteous. People skills are very important when you are working in someone’s home. Frank is a likeable, and easy to talk to guy. I will recommend Frank and his team to everyone! I’ve had so many disappointments with contractors over the years, but this guy hit it right out of the park! I consider this man trustworthy and a part of my family now. He is a throwback of the good old days, where a man’s word was his bond. I shook his hand, and that was it. If any of my daughters need a contractor, I will send him in a minute! Too many contractors take advantage of women and people not in there fields. He is a cut above the rest! I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate his dedication to his craft. If you’re expecting to get ripped off, you will be sadly disappointed!

The construction work is completed. Mill Contracting LLC is a great company; professional, punctual, always providing updates, good material used, not cutting corners by using less grade material, CLEAN at end of everyday and not one piece of dust.

Our house on Long Beach Island is built on 8 foot pilings, but still sustained significant damage from Hurricane Sandy. The street level space consisted of a finished garage and entryway. they were flooded with 36″ of bay water. Both required complete controlled demolition of the interior walls, sheetrock and insulation. Everything was stripped back to the studs, including the garage’s ceiling.

Frank Berardi and Mill Contracting were retained for the rebuild. Frank and his crew did an excellent job. He and his crew worked with skill and care. They put the garage back into shape better than before. Frank also checked out the whole house and worked to repair some chronic leaks in the upstairs living area. So far, the repairs seemed to have worked. He replaced two ceiling in the living areas as well.

All the work was done in an efficient, neat and skilled fashion. Prices were reasonable and communication was excellent. We retained Mill Contracting through a personal recommendation and we are glad we did. We highly recommend this company for all your home repair and remodeling needs.

My Wife and I just wanted you to know that the work your firm did in our home is more beautiful than we ever expected or anticipated, not only that, your men are true craftsmen and professionals, and never lost sight of the fact that we still were living there during this major renovation, they were extremely considerate and well mannered, and with 3 daughters home, that was extremely important to me and my wife, so thank you for that. Wanted to also thank you for introducing me to Frank the Contractor. His professionalism, work ethic, and talent is far superior to anyone we’ve previously met in his industry. No job was to big or too small for Frank and his team to handle. His ability to keep on track and coordinate the electrician helped to complete the project on time. When we called him to help save the new wooden floor, he and his team responded and saved the day. We will be working with Frank again in the future for the tiling and other projects. It’s with great confidence that I write this letter of recommendation of Mill Construction and its owner Frank Berardi. My wife an I have worked with Mill Construction on quite a few big projects, but more to the point we have worked with Frank Berardi for almost two years now on three major home improvement projects. It’s Frank’s integrity, commitment, communication and quality of work I am commending and recommending.

Frank and his team have completed three big projects in my home:

1. Finished an unfinished basement which included arches leading to one section, a full bathroom, kitchen area, wine bar area and closets.
2. Took out old kitchen cabinets and redesigned each area very carefully in order to keep our current granite counter top intact.
3. Removed half of a wall in between our eat- in kitchen and family room.

In all three of these projects his commitment to quality, meeting budget constraints and understanding of the importance what it means to be neat, clean, organized was truly amazing. He has excellent communication and coordination skills which has made the entire experience of dealing with him and his firm a positive one. Having to live in a home while construction is in progress is not easy. Frank and his team made sure that everything was vacuumed, swept, and cleaned regardless of how quickly he was returning the following day.
